Engineered cedar products can be smaller pieces, or even full-size individual pieces of solid sawn lumber that have been mechanically joined and glued to each other, performing very well when coated with a machine or factory primed or finished coating on all six sides. The products are engineered to perform just like or even better than solid sawn lumber and can have advantages like increased strength and increased availability of popular lengths.
