Established in 1954 as the voice and advocate of the cedar industry, the WRCLA is a non-profit organization that maintains a powerful network of primary manufacturers, remanufacturers, wholesale distributors, retailers, tertiary manufacturers, partners, international associates, designers and architects who have the common goal and vision of promoting and growing our industry for generations to come.

With a strong, unified voice we are successfully promoting Western Red Cedar’s (WRC) many benefits to mitigate competitive threats from composite manufacturers, and position cedar as the sustainable, beautiful and environmentally responsible choice of appearance materials.

Thanks to a robust, research and data-based campaign, the WRCLA is expanding market presence and building awareness of the WRC value proposition. Our funding goes to an integrated advertising and communications plan that includes a resource-rich website, an award-winning social, digital and traditional advertising program, product integration, rich video and photo galleries, direct technical support, and educational materials, among others.

We are making a difference, but we need you. The greater our numbers, the bigger our budget, and the stronger our impact. Every dollar invested in the WRCLA is leveraged by government funding for approved promotional and research projects, and then again by industry making it a great return on investment to maintain our presence in the market and keep Western Red Cedar front and center in the minds of consumers.
