COLIN & JUSTIN SAVOR SUMMER IN STYLE

SONY DSC

In their latest column, “Cabin Pressure” stars, Colin & Justin, are boozing and bargain hunting (not necessarily in that order), as they reminisce about one of their favorite cottage makeovers. Armed with razor-sharp Scottish wit and a healthy supply of celebratory vino, the dynamic design duo recount how they converted a dilapidated deck into an outdoor living sanctuary.

As they recall, the first order of business was tearing down the existing rotting structure. Then it was time to construct a beautiful new deck – one that’s built to last. For this particular project, they chose WESTERN RED CEDAR. Here’s why:

“Resilient to the onslaught of cottage country climate, visually beautiful, and imbued with the most astounding olfactory properties, the species is perfection itself as far as deck building is concerned….” Colin and Justin, Toronto Sun
